Everything you need to know.
How far in advance should I book?
3–6 months ahead for weddings and galas, especially May–October — and the earlier the better: reserve 8 or more months out and your initial payment is 25% rather than 50%. Corporate and private events can often be confirmed with 4–6 weeks notice depending on availability.
Does Opal include prints?
Yes. Every Opal package includes unlimited 2×6 prints, with an optional 4×6 upgrade on Opal Petite and Opal Print Edition. Opal Extended includes your choice of 2×6 or 4×6.
What's the retainer to reserve my date?
Book further ahead and less is due to hold your date: 15% when your event is 12+ months away, 25% at 6–12 months, 35% at 3–6 months and 50% under 3 months. The retainer (never more than 25%) holds your date; anything above it goes toward your balance and is refunded if you cancel. The balance is due 14 or 7 days before your event, whichever you choose when you sign, and we’ll email you a reminder. Booking inside that window, we’ll share your payment schedule before you commit. Your date is secured once your agreement is signed, payment is received and we confirm your booking. See booking details →
Can the overlay be changed closer to the event?
Yes. We send a design questionnaire after booking and finalize your overlay in the two weeks before your event. Minor updates can be made up to 5 days prior.
Do you travel outside Niagara?
Travel is complimentary throughout the Niagara Region. Across Hamilton, Burlington and the Greater Toronto Area, Opal Icon adds a flat $75 — travel is included on Pearl Icon and Heirloom Icon. Locations beyond these regions are quoted individually with your estimate.
What if my event is cancelled or postponed?
We offer one complimentary date transfer per booking with at least 30 days’ notice, subject to availability on your new date. Full cancellation terms are outlined in your event contract.
