Everything you need to know.
How far in advance should I book?
3–6 months ahead for weddings and galas, especially May–October — and the earlier the better: reserve 8 or more months out and your retainer is 25% rather than 50%. Corporate and private events can often be confirmed with 4–6 weeks notice depending on availability.
Does Opal include prints?
Opal Digital is a digital-first experience. Print packages and upgrades are available for clients who want physical keepsakes, including 2×6 prints and optional 4×6 upgrades.
What's the retainer to reserve my date?
A 50% retainer secures your event date and lets us begin planning your experience. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your event. Reserve 8 or more months ahead and the retainer is 25%.
Can the overlay be changed closer to the event?
Yes. We send a design questionnaire after booking and finalize your overlay in the two weeks before your event. Minor updates can be made up to 5 days prior.
Do you travel outside Niagara?
Travel is complimentary throughout the Niagara Region. Across Hamilton, Burlington and the Greater Toronto Area, Opal Icon adds a flat $75 — travel is included on Pearl Icon and Heirloom Icon. Locations beyond these regions are quoted individually with your estimate.
What if my event is cancelled or postponed?
We offer one complimentary date transfer per booking with at least 30 days notice. Full cancellation terms are outlined in your event contract.
